ONLINE SUPPORT

A selection of online mental health information, including online communities and apps.

ONLINE COMMUNITIES

Mental health forums host a group of people who have common experiences who wish to use the internet to communicate together. These communities can be a helpful way to share your feelings and get support from other people who might have similar experiences.

Alcohol Rehab Guide

An organisation dedicated to providing extensive and reliable information on the various aspects of alcohol abuse and addiction. As you may know, alcohol is widely used as a crutch for those suffering from self-esteem issues, whether as a false means of increased self-esteem or just to push the nagging voice from their mind. Using alcohol in this way, however, is the first step toward dependency and addiction. To find out more about the link between alcohol and low self-esteem, click below.

APPS

Apps can be a useful way to access support in managing your mental health, directly from your phone. You can access and download apps from app stores like the Apple App Store and Google Play. Some apps are free, while others may require a one-off payment or regular monthly subscription.

The NHS Apps Library has a section dedicated to mental health apps, which you might find helpful.
