MY STORY

I can recall key moments in my childhood when I was bullied during my childhood, for being 'too tall', 'too ugly', 'too smart', 'too different', 'not having enough friends' or 'having too much confidence'. I quickly learnt as I grew up, "I was not good enough". By the age of 16, I was a victim of sexual abuse and felt too afraid to speak out. The school bathroom became my place of solace where I hid from the shame, humiliation, judgment, rejection and isolation I felt on a regular basis. I felt different from everyone else around me and was so unsure of who I was.

By the time I got to University, I was diagnosed with depression and social anxiety and in my second year, I was sexually abused again. I had always been incredibly academic but by this point, my grades started to suffer and I was at breaking point. Suicidal was another feeling I grew comfortable with. As I reached out for help, I was misunderstood even more. GPs pushed me away, therapists showed a lack of understanding in my struggles and I felt I had nowhere to go.

Due to the sexual abuse, toxic relationships and poor mental health I was experiencing, ultimately - I questioned my identity and self-worth. I had nothing positive to say about myself and was at a total loss of how to move forward in my life. Life no longer felt worth living.

Throughout the lack of understanding I faced and support from those I reached out to, it has become my deepest mission to become the coach that offers that safe, understanding space to encourage others to rediscover their lives and thrive in their new beginnings. Through not only my personal experiences with low self-esteem, anxiety and depression, but also my experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Coaching, I hope to help you overcome your challenges and move forward with your life.
